Pilgrimage centres, including the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu, are on terror radar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran said on Wednesday.

the minister told the Rajya Sabha in response to a written question.
“Central security agencies have furnished inputs based on intelligence intercepts to that effect. It is not in public interest to disclose these facts.”
The minister further said that security agencies were constantly monitoring security arrangements and any likely threat to all important pilgrimage sites, inclduing Tirupati and Shirdi.
“The Ministry has sent advisories to the state sovernment and union territories administration to prepare appropriate security plans in order to secure and protect these religious places,” he added.
