Olive launches Mobile phone with AAA battery module for use during empty mobile battery situation

Olive Telecommunications launched the FrvrOn hybrid mobile that runs on AAA batteries.

Priced at Rs. 1699, the phone is aimed at rural users who do not have access to a steady supply to power. The phone for the most part runs on a standard Li-ion battery. But when this battery runs out of power, the user can switch over to an AAA battery to continue using the phone.

The phone’s features include a 1.5-inch colour display, FM radio, polyphonic ringtones, stereo handset and speakerphone. Olive has previously launched a range of 3G enabled Netbooks called Zipbooks in India.
