Government on Wednesday reacted cautiously to the Supreme Court verdict declaring as illegal compulsory use of narcoanalysis test, saying it had to go through the judgement.
"Judiciary has given a judgement. We need to go through it...it is too early to react on that (judgement)," law minister M Veerappa Moily told reporters.
He said the issue of narcoanalysis has been "agitating" the mind of the jurists and the judiciary and the issue has been a subject of national debate.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared as "illegal" compulsory use of narcoanalysis, brainmapping and polygraph tests on suspects.
