Chinese telecom gear maker Huawei said on Friday it was evaluating the reported security concerns in India and was seeking clarifications from authorities.
The Financial Times had reported that India was blocking the purchase of telecoms equipment from Chinese vendors on national security grounds.
Huawei said it had not received any official communication on the issue, but was willing to cooperate with relevant Indian government agencies to help solve their concerns, the firm's India-based spokesman said in a statement.
