Carmaker General Motors India rolled out its 1,00,000th Chevrolet Spark from Halol plant, situated near Ahmedabad.
The hatchback is produced at the company's Halol and Talegaon plants, which has a total production capacity of 2,25,000 units per annum.
"Chevrolet Spark has performed exceedingly well in the Indian market. The car continues to record impressive growth in sales month after month," General Motors said in a statement.
The company said it has also collaborated with REVA Electric Car Company to manufacture electric 'Spark', which it is planning to launch by the end of this year.
"The e-Spark will be India's first 4-door Passenger Electric Vehicle and will be launched by the end of this year," the statement added.
