Blippy, Google, and a Midwest bank have been reported for uncovering credit card numbers of four people within Google search results, for over two months.
Blippy, a young start-up that helps people to make social networks around sharing data on purchased goods and services experienced the worst Friday in history.
It was found by VentureBeat that credit card numbers exposed by four Blippy users, could see in Google's search guide.
In February, Blippy accepted its fault and said that it should not have let out the raw data comprising credit card numbers to the Internet.
However, it was confirmed by Google that its search bots should have noted that Blippy had removed that raw information without delay when its packed technology made its next pass across Blippy's site.
A Google spokesperson said that the firm was investigating as to why its technology did not renew its store of Blippy's pages for over two months.
According to Blippy Co-founder and CEO Ashvin Kumar, Blippy was completely unaware about the data leak, until Friday morning.
Ryan Alcott of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Bradd Dantuma of Grand Rapids, Mich were among two of the Blippy users, affected by the breach, they confirmed that they were the Fifth Third customers.
